1976. Graduated in international relations at the Faculty of Political Science in Belgrade. Postgraduate studies in International Law at the Belgrade Law Faculty.

1977. - Joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

1978-1981 - Attaché, Directorate for the Far East, Indochina and the Pacific and the Protocol Department

1981-1983 - Assistant to the Executive Secretary for the preparation of UNCTAD VI in Belgrade

1983-1987 - Vice Consul, Consulate in Perth, Australia

1987-1990 - Second Secretary, Consular Affairs Directorate

1990-1993 - First Secretary, Embassy in Lagos, Nigeria
 
1993-1997 - First Secretary, Consular Affairs Directorate
 
1997-2002 - Consul and Acting Consul General, Consulate General in Sydney, Australia
