OBTAINING DOCUMENTS

For obtaining certificates from the Civil Registry Books of the Republic of Serbia, or any other document listed below, via the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Sydney, please complete the relevant form and follow the instructions below:

1. Birth Certificate - application form  Application fee: AUD $ 44.00;

2. Death Certificate - application form Application fee: AUD $ 44.00;

3. Marriage Certificate - application form  Application fee: AUD $ 44.00;

4. Citizenship Certificate - application form   Application fee: AUD $ 44.00;

5. Police Clearance Certificate (Ministry of Internal Affairs) - application form Application fee: AUD $ 68.00;

6. Confirmation of Life - (sample of document) Application fee: AUD $ 5.00

If applying in person, an appointment is required, by booking on-line in the e-CONSULATE.

If applying by post, Application forms for the requested documents should be completed and signed by the Applicant in front of a Justice of the Peace, and sent to the Consulate's postal address with the following:

• photocopy of a document of identification with a photograph, such as passport or driver licence, (certified as true copy by the same Justice of the Peace who witnessed your signature on the Application form);
• pre paid self addressed envelope for delivery of documents (Express Post recommended). For delivery of documents to New Zealand, additional fees for international postage apply.

The Consulate General in Sydney can not be held liable if the designated civil registry office is not able to provide the requested document in accordance with the information provided in the application form.    

Please be advised that if requested documents are coming from Serbia, it may take up to 60 days before they are received.
