The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, received the credentials from the new Ambassador of Australia, Daniel Emery today, whom he welcomed, expressing hope that the cooperation between the two countries would be even better in the future.

President Vučić and Ambassador Emery agreed that it is necessary for Serbia and Australia to continue to intensify contacts, in order to give an impetus to cooperation in various fields. They especially pointed out the possibilities for stronger economic ties. Ambassador Emery pointed out that the interest of mining companies from Australia for doing business in Serbia is growing.

The interlocutors pointed out that the numerous Serbian community in Australia has an important role in connecting the two countries.

President Vučić and Ambassador Emery also discussed global issues, in which Australia is involved.
