Certificate of Non-Conviction

The Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia can, upon your request, obtain a Certificate of Non-Conviction issued by the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia (MUP).
Upon completion of the necessary checks, the Certificate is sent to the Consulate General by special post, after which you will be notified for collection.

⏳ The delivery time depends on the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia and postal services.

Ways to submit the request:

1. Sending documents by post

You need to submit:

  • A completed and signed REQUEST for issuance of the certificate of non-conviction_4.doc
    (clearly filled out, in block letters, certified by a Justice of the Peace – JP)
    (the request form is attached to the email)

  • A copy of your Serbian passport and ID card

  • Proof of legal residency in Australia/NZ
    (passport or visa copy, certificate of citizenship of AUS/NZ)

  • self-addressed return envelope with paid postage

📌 ALL documents must be certified by a JP (Justice of the Peace).


2. In-person submission at the Consulate

Fee for obtaining the Certificate of Non-Conviction

Payment is made via bank transfer to:

  • BSB: 062-124

  • Account: 1188 6752

  • Account name: Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia – consular fees

📌 In the payment description field, enter your full name.

📌 Do not make the payment until you receive confirmation that your documents are correct and complete.

📌 Some bank transfers (especially from NZ) may incur additional fees not included in the consular fee.


Delivery Options for the Certificate after Issuance

  • You may send a return envelope with paid postage along with your documents.

  • If you do not send an envelope, postage costs are:

    • 15.00 AUD for Australia

    • 35.00 AUD for New Zealand

  • We can notify you when the Consulate receives the Certificate, and you can then order a DHL waybill for pickup from the Consulate’s address.
