Document Certification

The General Consulate of the Republic of Serbia can certify signatures on documents
only for citizens of the Republic of Serbia residing in Australia or New Zealand,
based on a valid identification document.

Document certification is carried out in accordance with the rules of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which

You can certify documents in two ways through the General Consulate of the Republic of Serbia
in Sydney:

  1. SENDING DOCUMENTS BY POST

You need to provide:

  • 2 identical copies of the document to be certified (or more if you need more certified copies, as one will be kept in the consulate’s archive).

  • Proof of Serbian citizenship (copy of Serbian ID or passport, citizenship certificate of the Republic of Serbia)

  • Proof of regulated stay in Australia (Australian passport or visa copy, Australian citizenship certificate)

  • A self-addressed return envelope with paid postage

ALL documents must be certified by Justice of Peace

  1. IN PERSON

Before coming to the Consulate it is necessary that u make an appointment through the link: https://ezakazivanje.ekonzulat.gov.rs/#pretraga

You need to bring:

  • 2 identical copies of the document to be certified (or more if you need more certified copies, as one will be kept in the consulate’s archive)

  • Proof of Serbian citizenship (Serbian ID or passport)

  • Proof of regulated stay in Australia (Australian passport or visa copy, Australian citizenship)

IN BOTH cases, it is necessary to FIRST send ALL documents via email to the consulate address:

After verifying the correctness and completeness, we will contact you regarding the appointment
for your personal visit to the consulate or for sending documents by post.

Fees for document certification:

  • AUD$69.00 (one document copy with one signature)

  • For the second and each additional signature on the same document (when multiple persons sign the same document), add AUD$31.00 per additional signature

  • For two certified copies of the same document, add AUD$19.00, and for each additional copy add AUD$19.00

  • Postage (if you do not provide a return envelope): AUD$15.00 for Australia, AUD$35.00 for New Zealand
    In any case, the General Consulate bears no responsibility for the
    speed and method of delivery by Australian Post or DXL
